Rajasthan
is a vibrant, exotic state where
tradition and royal glory meet in a riot of colors against
the vast backdrop of sand and desert. It has an unusual
diversity in its entire forms- people, customs, culture,
costumes, music, manners, dialects, cuisine and physiography.

Rajasthan is located in the northwestern
part of the subcontinent. It is bounded on the west and
northwest by Pakistan, on the north and northeast by the
states of Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, on the east
and southeast by the states of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya
Pradesh, and on the southwest by the state of Gujarat. The
Tropic of Cancer passes through its southern tip in the
Banswara district. The state has an area of 132,140 square
miles (342,239 square kilometres). The capital city is Jaipur.

Bharatpur |
The
'Eastern Gateway to Rajasthan', was founded by Maharaja Suraj
Mal in 1733 AD, it was once an impregnable well fortified
city, carved out of the region formerly known as Mewat. The
trio of Bharatpur, Deeg and Dholpur has played an important
part in the history of Rajasthan.

If ever beauty has
bloomed in a desert, it has been at Bikaner. Founded in 1488
AD by Rao Bika Ji, it's located in north west part of Rajasthan
state in INDIA. The imposing palaces, beautiful and richly
sculptured temples of red and yellow sand stones display some
of the finest creations of Rajput civilization. It's lust
for "dessert" or affection for "desert"

Jaipur
was Founded in AD 1727 by Sawai Jai Singh II, Jaipur the capital
of Rajasthan is popularly known as the Pink City with broad
avenues and spacious gardens. The capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur
is steeped in history and culture. Here the past comes alive
in magnificent forts and palaces, blushed pink, where once
lived the maharajas. The bustling bazaars of Jaipur, famous
for Rajasthani jewellery, fabric and shoes, possess a timeless
quality and are surely a treasure-trove for the shoppers.

an epoch of royalty and tradition.

Jaisalmer |
The city of Jaisalmer
is named after Rawal Jaisal, a Bhatti Rajput ruler. He founded
the city in 1156. A local hermit advised him to set up his
new residence on the Tricut Hills, abandoning the old fort
at Luderwa. Jaisalmer is one of Rajasthan's most exotic and
unusal towns. "A living museum" and the "Golden
City" are just two descriptions, which has been applied
to the desert put-outs. Places of visit are beautiful mansions
built by Jaisalmer's wealthy merchants are known as Havelis,
Gandhi Sagar Tank,was once the water supply of the city, fort
built in the year 1156, the fort crowns the 80m high Trikuta
Hill and Jain temple and what to,say about camel safari on
desert.

Jodhpur
stands on a range of sandstone hills surrounded by a strong
wall, nearly 10 kms. Length with seven gates Dominating the
city is an eminence surmounted by a massive fortress. In olden
days, the fortress must have been well high impregnable, for
the rocky base on which it is built is scraped on every side.

Thakur
Nawal Singji a local Rajput warrior established the Mandawa
city in the year 1755. Mandawa in Rajasthan, North India offers
amazing vistas in the shape of tourist attractions, enigmatic
and traditional ways of the native people coupled with the

The
only hill station in Rajasthan, Mount Abu huddles among the
rocks on a 1,220-m granite table mountain at the far southwestern
end of the Aravalli hills. It is built around a lake and is
surrounded by forested hills. According to a legend, the place
derives its name from Arbuda, a serpent who descended to the
spot to rescue Shiva’s bull, Nandi. Besides having all
the features of a pleasant hill resort.

The
Pushkar city is located in the western part of Rajasthan,
near Ajmer. The holy city is known for being home to the only
temple of Brahma and for the Pushkar Fair. A small town though,
this place attracts many tourists every year. The major attractions
in the city are the temples of Brahma and Savitri and the
Pushkar Lake. The annual Pushkar fair in Pushkar is celebrated
with great enthusiasm. The festival is an obeisance to lord
Brahma, the creator of this world. Situated in Pushkar is
the only temple of Brahma in the world.

Ranakpur,
popularly known as the 'temple town of Rajasthan' is endowed
with lush foliage and picturesque scenes. Located in the Pali
district, this quaint town is located 23 km from Phalna, the
nearest railway station and 96 km from Udaipur the nearest
major city. The winding Maghai River and the majestic Aravali’s
hills provide a glowing setting to the gem among tourist destinations,Ranakpur.

One
of the most romantic cities in Rajasthan, Udaipur is also
known as the city of lakes. The marble palaces, beautifully
laid out gardens and the lakes make Udaipur seem almost like
a mirage. The City of Dawn, surrounded by the ancient Aravali
Mountains and set on the edge of three lakes, is a brilliant
kaleidoscope of narrow lanes flanked by bright stalls, gardens,

'Udaipur', known as the lovely lakeside capital of Mewar.

associated, was considered the most respectable of all Rajput
princely states in Rajasthan. The Rulers of Mewar are still
remembered for their bravery & courage they showed for
protecting their motherland from external invaders. Udaipur's
